January special

Went to La Conner WA for the past week. what a beautiful little town! Very small, quaint, Northern Pacific town. Lots of fishing boats, beautiful shops and boutiques and NO franchise's. How cool is that, every store there supports a local artist and they are all privately owned. I could move there in an instant and just visit the old brick bookstore called "The Last Chapter" and read to my hearts content with a hot steamy cup o' jo'. Or settle down with a hot bowl of local Clam Chowder. this place holds a special spot in my heart for sure!

Halloween Fun!

Here are a few shots from a wonderful Halloween Mini-Session! This is my niece, and she is sometimes shy, but comes out of her shell right away when a cemera is around! Quite contrary to actaully being shy. Shes grown up around a camera lens though so she seems to enjoy when snapshots are being taken! This was Halloween 2010

Fall Session Coming to a Close!

It is with great sadness I announce the end of autumn photos. It's my favorite time of year & watching how all the leaves change and everything seems to become richer in colour, The smells, the pie's, the getting-together with family. I always enjoy this time and it always makes for incredible family photos. I am however, looking forward to winter session's and the beautiful pristine white snow! NOVEMBER!?

How crazy has 2010 been for you? It has absolutely been insane for us. From here to there and everywhere!!
We are flabbergasted at how fast this year whipped by us. It seemed only yesterday I was saying Holy Molly 2010 already!!
We are extremely excited for 2011 though, as we plan to travel & move all in the year.

 For now I'll leave you with the last photo from October 2010. Literally, it was taken Oct 31st. in late afternoon.

My Birthday

It's My Birthday Today!

Yeah for birthday's! The weird thing is, you ask anyone and they say I look so young, my personality is a good match because I sure don't act my age. Why? sure when I need to, I do, but life is too short to always be on the up and up. I like being myself, living in the moment, and not regretting things. I have a bucket list and I always think about it when the opportunity presents itself. I say will I get another chance, will this be my last day here? I don't dwell on it by any means, but I always have the thought in the back of mind. Chances are far and few between, we must use them to get the most out of life. To be happy you must take chances. Another saying I think about is what's the worst that can happen? If it's not all that crazy, I'll try it.

So here's to Birthday's, but not to acting your age! Age is over-rated. It's how you feel in your heart.

Lisa & Adam

Just returned from a beautiful wedding at Spruce Meadows yesterday. What a lovely family. You could feel the love right from our first meet with Lisa& Adam.  We were not the official photographers, but secondary. Our day started with the Groom getting ready and then we went into videography mode until after the ceremony, so our photos are from before & after. we are currently making Lisa & Adam their beautiful wedding movie. To be posted soon! They are a beautiful couple, who put together a beautiful Day!

Alice Inspired

With all the craze that is Alice In Wonderland, I just had to do my take on a forest Tea-party. Don't get me wrong, I LOVE the book & movie, but this was just for inspiration, I didn't want to copy exactly what the movie was nor what Alice looks like, but the neat style of a Tea-party in the middle of the woods was most intriguing.

The picture that won was my HDR edited cloud shot. It was my first HDR edit, and I am quite pleased with the turn out of the photo.

This is a shoot I did with my sister over the weekend. What a fun day. Started out with a trip to Value Village for some much needed "Old Style" then we spent the day going all over central Alberta for that cool shot. This bridge actually turned out to be close to my mothers farm, and it was great for the idea I was thinking of. Some cars actually drove by with huge smiles, I think they actually wanted to give her a ride.

60's Pick Me Up Style

Canon 5D MarkII is the best camera out there. I recently purchased my favorite wanted camera! I am just now playing around with it, and realizing my full passion for this art. I love capturing still moments in time.
